In 2017, around 10.99 lakh students had taken the RBSE 10th Board Exams of which 78.96% passed the exams. As in every time, the girls outshone the boys with 79.01% pass percentage against 78.89%. Every year, the number of pass percentage keeps increasing, along with the separate pass percentage in the boys and girls respectively.
This year 2018, the pass percentage is expected to go up to 80%. The pass percentage, as seen from the past couple of years, has consistently gone up, from 80.67% to 92.73% in 2016. The number of students writing the exams each year also is on the rise, rising from 2.34 lakh in 2012 to 12 lakh students in 2018. As is common, the girls have outperformed the boys in the overall pass percentage in all these years.

Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE)
The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education was established in 1957. The RBSE conducts the secondary (class 10) and higher secondary (class 12) examinations for the State government run schools and State Board affiliated schools. The examinations are held in accordance with the curriculum set by the RBSE. It was shifted to Ajmer in 1961 for the promotion and development of secondary education in the Rajasthan state.
