IBPS PO Result 2018 for Prelims Exam: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) administers the online Common Written Examination every year to fill various Probationary Officer posts of 20 participating nationalized banks. The exam will be carried out in three phases- Preliminary, Mains and Interview. The results of the respective rounds will be declared by the esteemed organization.
The Preliminary stage of the exam will be conducted on four days viz 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st October 2018 and the result of the same will be declared tentatively in the first week of November. Candidates securing the pre-set sectional and overall cut-off marks will progress to the main round.
The Mains examination is to be held on 18th November 2018, and the result of the same will most probably be declared in the month of December. The scores obtained by the candidates in the preliminary and main rounds are calculated using the equil-percentile method.

Based on the marks secured in this round, the successful candidates will be shortlisted and called for an interview with a panel of experts which will be conducted in January/February 2018.
The shortlisted candidates will be tested on various aspects by the interviewing panel, and the result of the round is expected to be out in April 2018. The final IBPS PO result 2018 will be declared after normalizing the scores obtained by the candidates in mains and interview rounds.

How to Check IBPS PO Result 2018
The candidates will have to check the result of the respective rounds online. The candidates will not be notified individually of the publication of the result and are requested to keep checking the website for the same. On declaration of the results, the candidates need to follow the steps to avail their results:-
- The candidates must visit the IBPS official website where the link for the result 2018 will be provided.
- Clicking on the link will direct the candidates to the result page.
- The candidates need to enter their Roll number/registration number and either their date of birth or the password provided to access their result.
- After successfully entering the required data, they will be directed to a new page containing the result.
- The candidates can check whether they have qualified for the next round or not and can also download a copy of it.
IBPS PO Prelims Result 2018
IBPS PO prelims result 2018 likely to be released on 07-11-2018. Candidates can check their preliminary examination result by providing their registration number and date of birth or password at ibps.in.
The aspiring candidates of IBPS PO CWE-VII exams will be tested on three sections containing English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability for the preliminary round. The marks division in English, Quantitative and Reasoning are 30, 35 and 35 marks respectively, and the total marks allotted to this round is 100.
The candidates need to secure qualifying marks in each section as well as the overall cutoff set for each section to proceed to the mains.
IBPS PO Mains Result 2018
The successful candidates from the preliminary stage will be tested on five sections viz English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. The mains examination contains a total of 200 marks divided unequally among the five sections.
The candidates must secure the predefined sectional cutoff and overall cutoffs for their respective categories to progress to the interview round. The marks secured by the candidate in the mains and interview stage are only considered during the final selection of the candidates for the PO job. It is to be noted that the marks secured by the candidates in the mains will be published only after the interview round.
IBPS PO Result 2018 of Interview
Candidates who will qualify the mains round will progress to the final round which is the interview round conducted by the Participating organizations and is coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each state and UT.
The total marks allotted to the interview round is 100. The candidates will be required to secure at least 40% marks if he/she belongs to the General category. The ST/SC/OBC/PWD category candidates will be required to secure at least 35% of the total marks.
The final PO selection scorecard will contain the marks obtained by the candidates in both mains and interview rounds. However, the marks scored by unsuccessful aspirants in the interview round will not be published.
Final IBPS PO Result 2018
The Final result of the IBPS PO contains the combined scores secured by the aspirants in both mains and interview rounds. The weightage of the mains and interview are taken in the ratio of 80:20 respectively.
Only those candidates who will obtain the minimum qualifying marks in both the rounds will be considered for the final merit list of the examination. Based on the cut-off scores, marks secured, ranks, and the preference, the candidates will be allotted to any of the 20 participating banks.

The scores secured by the candidates in both the rounds will be normalized using the equi-percentile method and the scores up to two decimal points will be rounded off to come to reach the final score.
